The vault door didn't just open. It exploded inward, wood and iron splintering like kindling. Wolves poured through the gap, teeth bared, eyes burning gold and amber and red. I didn't recognize any of them. That was the first thing I noticed. These weren't just pack wolves. These were something else.

Corin didn't move. He stood at the center of the vault like a statue, watching the chaos he'd unleashed with the calm of a man who'd already calculated every outcome. Beside me, Declan's hand tightened around mine, and the bond between us snapped taut — a live wire humming with voltage.
